Dr. Bekele Getenet Tiruneh is an Assistant Professor of Emergency & Critical Care at Debre Markos University with a strong passion for the scientific community, medical writing, and editorial excellence. With a background in Emergency Medicine and hands-on experience in clinical research, peer-reviewed publications, and health advocacy, Bekele is eager to bridge the gap between complex medical research and accessible knowledge dissemination.

During his research and clinical experience, Bekele contributed to a study on the healthcare system, honing skills in data analysis, manuscript drafting, and adherence to journal guidelines. This experience solidified his ability to deliver his expertise to the International Conference on Nursing Research and experience sharing with global scientists. One of Bekele’s abstracts has been accepted for a Poster presentation at WADEM's 23rd Congress on Disaster and Emergency Medicine.

Bekele has also been invited to speak at the 5th World Congress on Global Healthcare and Medicine, held in Paris. With a meticulous eye for detail, a knack for simplifying complex concepts, and proficiency in EndNote and R software, Bekele aims to contribute to high-impact medical content while growing under the mentorship of healthcare industry experts. Beyond academics, Bekele enjoys volunteering with health literacy initiatives.

Hailemariam Gebrearegay Haileeyesus

Bio:

Dr. Hailemariam Gebrearegay Haileeyesus is a pediatrician and Head of the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health at the College of Health Sciences, Mekelle University. He has demonstrated exemplary leadership and communication skills during challenging wartime conditions, ensuring continuity of care and academic activities. He is actively engaged in community service, including school health and nutrition programs and the establishment of neonatal intensive care units in remote areas. Dr. Hailemariam has extensive experience in neonatal care, medical education, and clinical research.

His research focuses on neonatal outcomes, infection prevention, maternal–child health, and nephrology, with over 12 publications in peer-reviewed journals. He has led and coordinated multiple multidisciplinary hospital-based initiatives to improve neonatal survival and the quality of care in Northern Ethiopia. Notably, his infection prevention interventions, along with his colleagues, have reduced neonatal bloodstream infections by over 77% and sepsis-related mortality by 80%.

Dr. Hailemariam has presented his work at national and international conferences, including the World Congress of Nephrology, and has contributed to numerous projects with successful outcomes, demonstrating his commitment to advancing pediatric and neonatal health in Ethiopia and beyond.
